Honestly, I think the simple idea of shrinking down Ursula and the Queen of Hearts and slapping ‘if they were beautiful’ on it…
Older characters are made younger, and then they are called more beautiful than before.
Also half of the men have the same face.
I have seen the Ursula pictures before and each time I am just like ‘UGH PLEASE NO’.
I am absolutely sure the artist’s intention was not to hurt anyone.
But ‘beautiful’ obviously equals ‘socially accepted beauty standards’ means thin, young women and muscular young men, without paying much attention to the original character designs except of their hairdos and costumes.
Seriously, it’s enough that all of the Disney heroes are knitted with the same beauty pattern over and over again. Taking the villians and reducing them to the same standard pattern is just kind of… beh D:

So 0033/Red Ink Teacher has been updating with some more great sheets of hands and feet.
These are amazing to study from since he breaks down the forms pretty well and I guarantee after doing a few studies of their feet or hands you pick up really quick on how to break them down yourself to suit your needs. When all I owe is cleared away definitely want to do a long series of studies of his after I acquire some paintbrushes and ink from here.

I have a lot of respect for Ze Frank, and I adored his year-long project, The Show. So many people have said things similar to this, but it’s always a good thing to hear again. In summary: if you want to make stuff, make stuff. It’s the only way you’ll get past the point of making things to the point of having made stuff. Then you get to make more stuff. So go make stuff!
